Some people embark on acne treatment without finding out which type of acne they have and often get disappointed at the results. There are several acne types. Acne vulgaris is a type of acne that includes different kinds of pimples. The pimple types are white heads, which occur after a pimple has been clogged. Another type is blackheads. Another of the acne types is the Comendol acne. This type of acne appears on one’s face but does not become inflamed. This type of acne is usually worsened by humidity, hormones fluctuations or some facial products. It is advisable to use products that contain Proactiv, Salicylic Acid and Retextra ingredients to treat or prevent acne, as they are not known to be harsh to the face. Another of the acne types is the conglobata. This type is common among men. It usually appears on their chests or backs. Infantile acne normally affects babies. This type of acne usually goes away several months after the baby is born and is not serious.
There are people who react to medications and get acne. Their reaction is manifested by appearance of acne. This acne is known as mediamentosa. Medications that cause this acne are like oral contraceptives and anabolic steroids. After one picks a black head or a white head, they develop acne known as Acne excori. One can prevent this acne by not picking or squeezing their pimples. One can make these acne types worse if they use harsh products such as benzoyl peroxide. It dries the skin and causes swellings.
